AJFC Youth Hiring Program

The AJFC Youth Hiring Program gives eligible youth the opportunity to work in a safe, supportive, and professional environment while learning skills that will benefit them in school, work, and life.

Participants will gain hands-on experience, learn workplace expectations, develop responsibility, and receive guidance on the importance of saving money and planning for the future.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be between the ages of 16–20

  • Be currently enrolled in high school or college

  • Be available to work during the summer period of June through August

  • Be willing to learn, work, and participate in skill-building activities

  • For applicants under age 18, parent/guardian eligibility must be determined

What Youth Will Learn

Participants will have the opportunity to build skills that support long-term personal and professional growth, including:

  • Communication

  • Teamwork

  • Responsibility

  • Time management

  • Problem-solving

  • Leadership

  • Basic technology and office skills

  • Workplace etiquette

  • Financial responsibility

  • Saving and money management
